These designs have a dramatic appearance when cut from a 1/2” thick light colored hardwood such as White Oak.

If you prefer a dark wood such as Walnut you may want to make them 1/4” thick instead.

Reducing the patterns and cutting them from 1/16” Brass is another option.

Enlarging the patterns and cutting them from 3/4” stock is also something to consider.
